Acts of Rememrbance
This year we are sadly unable to join together to make an act of remembrance in our churches.
We will, however, still take time to remember those who died in the First and Second World Wars and in subsequent conflicts.
Just before 11:00 am on Sunday 8th November, a wreath will be laid at the war memorial in St John’s, the names of the fallen for both St John’s and St Mary’s will be read, and a two minute silence observed.
At the same time the prerecorded act of remembrance available on this page will become available for viewing. The Last Post ends, and the two minute silence starts about 3 1/2 minute into the video.
This is an Act of Remembrance, not a Remembrance Service.
For a Remembrance Service take a look at the prerecorded service from St Peter’s, in Waverton, which you can find here.
