Have a lovely Christmas, and may God bless you and yours.
At last we have come to the fourth and final Sunday in Advent, and its only a few days till Christmas.
With all that’s been going on, this will be a Christmas unlike any other; many plans will have had to be set aside, and for the good of everyone, we are all being asked to take care and obey the rules.
There has been much talk of Christmas being “cancelled,” but let’s remember what Christmas is about: it is the celebration of the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, who came into the world, God with us, to bear the consequences of our sin, and to reconcile us to God through faith.
This he did, once and for all, on the cross. It is done, it is finished, and it can never be taken away. Christmas, in its proper sense, won’t ever be cancelled!
Today we have the fourth pre-recorded lighting of the Advent Candle, which you can find here.
There are also the downloadable “Church in a Bag” resources for the children, which you can find here. This will be the last “Church in a Bag” this year.
Finally, we are on day 20 of our Virtual Advent Calendar, which you can find here.
